Prior to joining AUS, Paul Nancarrow worked as a research and development engineer in the UK materials industry and as a faculty member at Queen’s University Belfast, UK. His main research interests include ionic liquids technology for renewable energy and sustainable processing, reaction engineering, nanomaterials processing, pharmaceutical process development and predictive modeling of liquid systems.
Camp Instructors
Muhammad Qasim
Muhammad Qasim’s current lab teaching areas are Unit Operations, Process Control, Petroleum Refining and MATLAB. His research areas focus on desalination, water treatment, process optimization and fluid phase equilibria. He has over eight years of experience in laboratory instruction.
Najla Salkho
Najla Mohammad received her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah. She is currently a lab instructor in the Chemical Engineering Department with a teaching experience of six years in topics related to MATLAB, Aspen HYSYS, Petroleum Refining, Reactions, and Unit Operations. Her main research area is drug delivery systems in biomedical applications.
